Case Study: Karankawa Village
Overview

It takes great art to make great advertising, and Hiebert Photography is your best resource for photography that will communicate your brand. Hiebert Photography's work for Cattails and The Lodge at Karankawa Village is one example of how the investment in quality photography can lead to the results you want.
Goal

Establish The Lodge and Cattails at Karankawa Village brand as representing the best destination lodging option for the Matagorda region and a first-class, best-quality shopping experience for Matagorda visitors.
Background

Matagorda is a small town on the Texas Gulf Coast with some of the best fishing of anyplace between Galveston and Mexico (See a Google Map...). It draws outdoors-oriented people who enjoy spending time in one of the most unspoiled portions of the Texas coast. Of all the things it might be known for, "luxury" and "first-class accomodations" were not the terms that first came to mind when when Matagorda was mentioned.
Sue Milberger, the owner and proprietor of Cattails and The Lodge at Karankawa Village, is putting "luxury" and "first-class" into the Matagorda vocabularly. She built her lodge and store in Matagorda, opening her doors in 2009 with the aim of providing a first-class experience unlike anything else you will find.
The Lodge is a first-class 8-room B&C (as Sue calls it, a Bed-and-Cookie) that was purpose-built to provide guests with very comfortable, high-quality accomodations. Cattails is a modern merchantile store with a wide selection of luxury goods and some of the best coffee and specialty drinks you can find in anywhere on the Texas coast.
What Hiebert Photography Did

Hiebert Photography created photographs to represent the Cattails and The Lodge at Karankawa Village. Production took place over approximately 1.5 days, resulting in still photography to represent:

-
Interior views of the merchantile store
-
The Results

You can see the results at www.karankawavillage.com. We created a library of photographs that supports the Karankawa Village online and print advertising, marketing and public relations efforts.
You can also ask Sue. The photography has gotten great attention for her business and she is thrilled with the results. She has described the photographs as "awsome," "wonderful" and "fabulous." If you have any doubts, make a little run down to Matagorda, stop in and enjoy a glass of Chateau Bubba wine, and ask her.
Of course, great art also requires great presentation, and the following are the companies that handle her account:
